Deep Cleaning

This article of course is for all grandmothers and moms 🙂

Have you ever hired professional cleaning services for your home? If you have, then you know how different the home looks and feels after their job is done. They simply have the right training, the expertise, the knowledge, the equipment, the products and the techniques to deep clean an entire house, the garden, the roof and the backyard and make the house look like it is completely new. Everything from the bedrooms to the bathroom, from each drawer and cabinet to the wardrobes, from the backyard to the garage and from the basement to the attic is sparkling clean – polished, clean, tidy, deodorized and dust free. However, not many of us can afford regular cleaning services done by a professional and therefore we need to invest some of our time and effort into maintaining a clean home.

Let’s not forget that a clean home is also a healthy home, where the air quality is good and everyone feels much better. In order to have that you need the right techniques and products so you can deep clean the home like a true professional. It’s easier than you think, but it does require a considerable time. Spending a whole weekend deep cleaning the entire home might look like too much work, but you will be more than happy with the results – a clean home is welcoming, cozy and nice and it feels great just relaxing there.

Planning a deep cleaning of your home does feel overwhelming, but it’s worth the time and the effort. Try to involve your family in the cleaning process and you will manage quicker than you think. Start with the least desirable area – whether that is the man’s cave, the basement or the garage, don’t leave it before you clean it all. Pay attention to any issues and places that require repairs – chipped paint, leaking, mold areas, rust, etc. No deep cleaning is successful without taking care of these problems. If you want a great home, you need to take good care of it so it functions well. Moreover, regular deep cleaning will prolong the life of many areas in the house, thus increasing its market value. Remember that you aren’t pressured to do everything in just one day – do as much as you can, but don’t rush it or you risk missing important areas.

It’s best if you have a plan and follow it – write a checklist and list all the things that need to be done. This way it’s easier to shop for the right products too and only buy what you actually need for the cleanup. Focus on one area at a time and clean from dry to wet and from top to bottom. Mopping is the last task to do in each room.

Clean light fixtures, remove cobwebs, empty cabinets and closets and do some clearance. If you get rid of the clutter, the cleaning will be more than successful. Have clean paper towels, white cloths, bags, spray bottles and brushes at hand – it’s best to keep all cleaning materials in one bucket that you can carry with you from room to room. Simplifying the process can be done by tidying up the rooms before you clean.

Follow these simple tips and don’t be afraid of deep cleaning your home as often as possible. Your home and your family deserve it.
