Now some may not think this is really important, however let me tell you, IT IS! Mom and my Father-In-Law will never meet my grandson, and it makes me so very sad. ๐
On the other hand, I secretly know that both of them not only met my grandson, but they are watching him grow as a little man before their eyes! Yes, I truly believe that. They are delighted from what they see watching down from Heaven.
It’s sad that some people DON’T believe in God and don’t know Him. I happen to know that there is a God and He’s got a huge place in my heart. I’ve heard about AND have seen miracles happen. So please don’t tell me there isn’t a God! ๐
Now that we have that out of the way, the purpose of this post is telling my readers to share family history with your grandchildren. Go as far back as you know and can remember. Your grandkids have the right to know where they came from and who their ancestors are!
A practical way of doing this is to do research for a family tree. One of my cousins from my husband’s side does this and he thoroughly enjoys it. I think he’s found our family somewhere back in the 1700’s. That’s pretty amazing if you ask me! ๐
Share what your grandchildren’s Great, Great Grandparents (and even further back if you can) did for a living. They will enjoy your stories, especially when they are older.
Below are some photos of our family =)

Tammy,
I really appreciate this post. This is a subject near and dear to our hearts, and it’s wonderful that you have so many well preserved photos of your family! My children also love stories and pictures of our ancestors. It seems the older they get, the more interested they are in our family’s history. My husband’s mother passed away in March, and two of our nieces have taken it upon themselves to gather all of the poems she had written during her life to be compiled into a book, which each family member has been given the opportunity to purchase. We can’t wait to receive ours!
Hi Teresa, ๐
So glad you stopped by! Thank you for your comments. They are appreciated. =)
How exciting about the poetry book, awesome idea.
I visited and love your blog! I’ve placed it in my favorites. I plan on visiting often. ๐
Your blog is the first one (I’ve seen) that has involved their spouse. Very extraordinary.
Also Teresa, sorry for your loss ๐
I can’t believe you wrote that! It is so true to the last word! I always bragg about my grandpa bcse he was the man who could build something,,,,from nothing! He gets much love & respect from me bcse he is the reason i work so hard & he is the reason i can look at something & imagine what i can build from it! I have the utmost respect for my grandparents bcse they are incredible people! I am sure I got nothing from my dad,,,, bcse he is the most selfish, self-centered, stubborn man i have ever met! I am nothing like him thank God! But i do have the most respect for my grandparents & try to teach my niece & nephews to love their grandma cuz she is very good to them & they will miss her when she is gone!
Hi David, ๐
Thank you for your feedback. Who are your grandparents? I’m trying to figure out where you come in the Embrich family.
Why can’t you believe that I wrote this? Curious. lol
I’m hoping this blog will still be intact when my grandchildren are old enough to read all the entries here as well as see all the photos. =)
Thanks for stopping by ๐
