I had the perfect end to a very hectic day that I wanted to share with all of you today. After spending the day outside of the shop helping my husband on the road, I couldn’t wait to get back to the shop, close up and call it a day, but of course I return to the office to see the phone blinking telling me my day wasn’t quite over yet.
Well this was one phone message I was happy to hear and return the call, the message was from my grandson Caleb who is now 3 1/2 years old and can actually hold conversations that make sense. To hear his voice on the phone saying “Hi Grandma, I want to talk to you, call me back, I love you Grandma and Pop Pop to, talk to you soon”, was just the perfect end to my day, I had a smile from ear to ear and tears in my eyes. Ah yes this was the perfect phone call I could have ever received.
Oh, and yes I did call him back and we had a great conversation, and with him being 3 some I understood and some not so much. The joy in being a Grandma!

Aww Donna, that is so sweet! I can only imagine how I'm going to feel when my grandson starts to talk. 😀
He is beginning to smile at us and respond to our voices now. He is a bit over 2 months.

lol….my daughter is always keen to phone "granny and granpa"….every few days she comes up to me and says "should we phone granny and granpa?"…she's almost three and it's lovely to watch her call up and say a few words 🙂

WOW the joys of being a Grandmother. My son and his wife are expecting their first child in Dec. and I am so excited about being a Grandmother for the first time. I can not wait for a little voice to call me up on the phone and say "Hello Grandma." My heart will just melt.
