Sharing a Blog Post – Weekly Bible Scriptures

I ran onto a blog post today that really hit home for me, and wanted to share it with you. It has to do with our spiritual selfs, emotions, and our well being. 😉

If you come here often and If you’ve read many of my posts here on the blog, you will find that I’m a really emotional person that also suffers from depression and anxiety. I try to open my Bible and read a chapter or two every day. However, I miss a day here and there. I just get caught up in my everyday life and my work online. Does that sound like a worthy excuse? I don’t think so. 😉

Usually I try to read my Bible first thing in the mornings, after my workouts. Well, If I’ve got something that’s pressing me and stressing me out that needs to be done soon that particular day, I sometimes skip reading. 🙁 NOT a good thing. As the Word gets me going on a positive note for a positive start to my day. I definitely need to work on that! 🙂

Also, Lara talks about being cautious about what you think about. This is SO true, we all need to stop and think about (what we think about). Sounds a bit confusing, but what we think about sets our moods and outlook on life. Also, Lara goes on to explain that we all need to set our minds on God

(ref. Colossians 3:2, Romans 12:2)

Lara also talks about paying attention to what we listen to. This is so very important. Faith comes by hearing!

(ref. Romans 10:17, James 1:22)

And lastly, this is one of the things that hit home for me. Watch what you say Have you ever said something on impulse without thinking of other’s feelings and also the consequences? I seem to do this often. 🙁 That’s something else I need to work on. 😉

Weekly Scriptures Arguing and Fighting – Forgiveness




Good afternoon, 🙂


Hey we all argue once in awhile, and some of us call it fighting. It’s nature to not agree on everything. We are all made unique with our own opinions and feelings. That is what makes us all interesting. If we were all the same with the same opinions, feelings, and views about everyday life and the world around us, then this world would be quite a boring place, wouldn’t you think?


So with that said, there will always be arguements and various unique opinions and thoughts. We are all human and not the same; we are all unique.


What does the Bible say about arguing and fighting??


Matthew 18:15

If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother.

Matthew 12:36-37

I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned

Thessalonians 5:9

For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ

Psalm 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise

Psalm 86:4-5 Gladden the soul of your servant, for to you, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you.

Isaiah 55:6-7 Seek the LORD while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the LORD, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

 Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.

Psalm 103:8-12 The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. He will not always chide, nor will he keep his anger forever. He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us.


Accept the ever standing invitation from Jesus for forgiveness of all sins through His blood!

Lord Show Us The Way – Ask and Listen – Guest Post – Scriptures For The Week

Recently during a morning of running errands, I made a quick pit stop for a cup of coffee. As I got back in the car, I realized getting back into the flow of traffic in the direction I needed was going to be a challenge. As I got into the car I prayed silently for God to show me a way so that I didn’t have to make a bunch of u-turns in order to get back on my route.

Just as I started driving I saw a car driving in the direction I needed to go and I started to follow. I ended up on a small access road that took me to a red light that contained a turn arrow. Praise the Lord! I had never seen this road before but it had been there all along.

Sometimes we get so turned around by life when we look at the big picture and forget to remember that we have a good shepherd that guides us. All we have to do is ask and listen. Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left.

(Isaiah 30:20 NKJV)

May our hearts cry out to the Lord to show us the way today. He is wanting to help and lead every step of the way. 😉

Weekly Scriptures – The Model Prayer




I opened my Bible this morning and there it was Matthew Chapter 6…He wanted me to read the whole chapter 😉


Includes the scriptures of the model prayer: Matthew 6:9-15

Within The Model Prayer Jesus taught his disciples that when they pray, what motive and attitude they must possess

1 Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:
4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.


9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
16 Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
17 But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face;

25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Remembering Mom and Bible Scriptures For The Week








I opened up my Bible yesterday morning and found my Mother’s memorial prayer card…I have not read that in a long time. =)

Bible Scriptures For The Week – Forgiveness




We are not born with a forgiving spirit, are we? Of course not! None of us are. However, through prayer and reading God’s word, we can forgive AND be forgiven. 😉


I personally know people that hold grudges to the bitter end. Will they be forgiven? That’s between them and God and I know within my heart that I should not judge them. They will be judged at the end of days or whenever they pass on.


However, it’s hard sometimes to always have a forgiving spirit. It’s natural to be angry, hurt, or even spiteful at someone that has betrayed or wronged us in some way. But God is always there by our side readily, and willing to forgive. HE will always forgive us if we ask him, except for one sin…


There is one sin that cannot be forgiven. I was taught this at an early age. And that is to deny the Holy Spirit. It says it all in the scripture below


Matthew 12:31-32 “And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.”


I’ve searched the scriptures on “forgiveness and my findings are included below.


Matthew 11:28-30


“Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”


Psalm 86:5


“For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.”


Luke 17:4


If he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times comes back to you and says, “I repent,” forgive him.


Matthew 18:21-22


Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?” Jesus answered, “I tell you,

not seven times, but seventy-seven times.”


Colossians 3:13


Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.


Have a forgiving heart today and every day, and pray for those that wrong you. =)

Weekly Bible Scriptures – Judging Others and Depression



Hi there and good morning 🙂



Here I am again on “depression.” We know the motto; “God helps those who help themselves”

Many people think that this quotation comes from the Bible…it is not found there.


According to “Wikipedia” and taken from there


It has been commonly attributed to Benjamin Franklin, the modern English wording appears earlier in Algernon Sidney’s work



Going back to the scriptures I found these…



Deuteronomy 31:8



And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed



Psalms 42:11



Why art thou cast down , O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.



Jeremiah 29:11



For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.

Physical things you can do for depression AND that have helped me in the past




Keeping busy, and I do plenty of that with all my online work


Exercise, I’ve been a little slack on this for a couple of days. Need to get back to it…it helps!!


Natural Remedies, It has become common that natural herbs and supplements can alleviate depression…and I have found this to be true. Do a search on Google for “natural remedies for depression” and you will get a ton of results. =)




I have looked up scriptures for “judging others”



According to my faith and upbringing, judging others is definitely a sin. It’s real easy to point fingers and “even I” have done so. Everyone has done this sometime in their lives. We are all born into a sinful world.


Acts 3:19-21


Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:

Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began



Judging Others



Isaiah Chapter 11 Verses 3 and 4


3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth: with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.


1 Corinthians 2:15 Verses 15 and 16


But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.


James 1:19-22 Verses 19 through 22


Wherefore, my beloved brethren, letevery man beswift to hear , slow to speak , slow to wrath:
For the wrath of man workethnot the righteousness of God.

Good morning 🙂




I’m greeting the day with a heavy heart. Why I’m not sure. I have these days sometimes, as we all do. However, depression seems to find me at my most vulnerable times.





As I search the scriptures today, here is what I’m finding…
