I remember the taste of these gems so well when I was a little girl. My mom made them all the time, especially around Christmas time. 😉
They are so good! I added sprinkles to make them more festive for the holidays.
Makes 1 Dozen Cookies
Ingredients
1/4 cup cocoa (unsweetened)
1/2 cup milk
2 cups sugar
1 stick margarine
1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 1/2 cups quick oats
Directions
Combine sugar, milk, cocoa in small saucepan. Bring to boil for 1 minute.
Remove from heat, add remaining ingredients, mixing well.
Drop by teaspoon fulls onto waxed paper. (May need to refrigerate). I did mine for 2 hours and they turned out much better than my last batch I tried a few years ago.
I arranged them on a nice platter along with the timeless treasures of Ghirardelli chocolate and carmel squares. (I purchased those at the store of course) 😉
Enjoy! 😉
