God’s Cake and Sharing Scriptures For The Week

My Uncle from California sent this to me through email. It’s awesome! 🙂

God’s Cake…

This is about the best thing I’ve ever read as an explanation

Sometimes we wonder, ‘What did I do to deserve this?’ or ‘Why did God have to do this to me?’ Here is a wonderful explanation! A daughter is telling her Mother how everything is going wrong, she’s failing algebra, her boyfriend broke up with her and her best friend is moving away.

Meanwhile, her Mother is baking a cake and asks her daughter if she would like a snack, and the daughter says, ‘Absolutely Mom, I love your cake.
‘Here, have some cooking oil,’ her Mother offers.
‘Yuck’ says her daughter.
‘How about a couple raw eggs?’ ‘Gross, Mom!’
‘Would you like some flour then? Or maybe baking soda?’
‘Mom, those are all yucky!’

To which the mother replies: ‘Yes, all those things seem bad all by themselves. But when they are put together in the right way, they make a wonderfully delicious cake!

‘God works the same way. Many times we wonder why He would let us go through such bad and difficult times. But God knows that when He puts these things all in His order, they always work for good! We just have to trust Him and, eventually, they will all make something wonderful!

God is crazy about you. He sends you flowers every spring and a sunrise every morning. Whenever you want to talk, He’ll listen. He can live anywhere in the universe, and He chose your heart.

Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance!

——————————————————–

There are many that beg God to tell them WHY they have to go through specific things and many trials. Do you believe all things happen for a reason? I do!

God has everything planned out and knows all things before we do. For me, that is so very powerful. 😉

Various trials and tribulations all make us much stronger than we ever, ever thought possible! They indeed make US the people we are today, having gone through this or that.

It may be sickness, it may be losing loved ones, it may even be having to go through life homeless…it could be MANY things. However, God knows before we do what lies ahead in our future.

This morning I searched for trials and tribulations in the scriptures…this is what I found. 😉

James 1:12

Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.

Romans 12:12

Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

Romans 8:28

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.

Acts 14:22

Strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying that through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God

Philippians 4:6

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Job 5:19
He will deliver you from six troubles; in seven no evil shall touch you

Hebrews 2

For it was fitting that he, for whom and by whom all things exist, in bringing many sons to glory, should make the founder of their salvation perfect through suffering.

Ephesians 1:11

In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will,

Hebrews 11:17

By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises was in the act of offering up his only son

  1. We can never see the whole picture from where we stand…we have to keep trusting and having faith in God that everything is going to come out right just like we do when we bake a cake. Love the illustration! Thanks for sharing. “I shall come forth as gold” after the trials are over and our life’s work is done.

  2. Hi Rhonda 🙂 The illustration really made me stop and think. YW, and I like the scripture you ended your comment with. Thanks so much for stopping by! =)
