On page 106, the book offers materials needed and directions to make edible playdough, how awesome is that?! Kids absolutely love playdough! The recipe is so easy to make and more importantly, very EASY to clean up. This is one recipe that I will be sharing with my grandson when he gets a few years older. More edible recipes include; mini pizzas and homemade marshmallows. 🙂
The Simple Joys of Grandparenting even has pages where you can record special memories , activities, and events. Grandparents can also write down their grandchildren’s first sayings and words.
For Example…Just this past weekend my 2 year old grandson said his first whole sentence for me. He asked where our cat was, “Where’s Jesse At”? He asked, and that put a great big smile on my face for the rest of the day! 🙂 My daughter-in-law said that wasn’t his first full sentence, he’s been doing a lot more talking that Grandma and Grandpa don’t know about. LOL Birthdays and various dates can also be recorded. I really LOVE this book!
