Bible Scriptures For The Week

Hi there, 🙂

I need more of an incentive to read my Bible, and I think starting a series of Bible scripture posts would be an excellent one, since my heart and soul is in this blog. Thanks to my grandson! 🙂 I can’t think of a better incentive or reason!!

My goal is to read daily, and then do a recap on the scriptures I’ve read on a weekly basis.

Some depression has lead me to start reading my Bible again, and yes…it is helping!

Below are a few short scriptures that has been a comfort to me (this morning) 🙂

Psalm 119:76

May your unfailing love be my comfort, according to your promise to your servant

Matthew 5:4

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Jeremiah 1:8

“Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the LORD

Here are a few more scriptures that has touched me recently…

Psalm 25: 1 – 7

Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul.

O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.

Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.

Shew me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths.

Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.

Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.

Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness’ sake, O LORD

And here are some scriptures that I’ve shared on the Moms Of Faith blog for which I am a guest blogger.

Proverbs Chapter 1- Verse 6 – 16

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

My son, hear the instruction of thy father, and forsake not the law of thy mother:

For they shall be an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.

My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.

If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause.

Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit.

We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil.
Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse.

My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path.

For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.

I hope my readers here appreciate these scriptures as I post them. 🙂

God Bless each and everyone of you!
